5 Songs That Make Me REALLY Happy

Somehow music is just as important to me as reading. I'm not sure where that love of music came from, but I can remember two things vividly from my childhood: I was always in my room either reading, or playing records. My room was my happy place, where I could disappear into another world. Childhood was good, I have fond memories of growing up, and my mother made every day mundane things magical, and holidays, were even more over the top. You could say my childhood was idyllic, but there were things, times when they weren't, which I am not going to go into here, but know dear reader, that I too suffered a bit, and I am finding out that many others did too. But, this is my happy place, no need to discuss the unpleasant, look at the title, let's talk music!

Happy, by Pharell Williams
Just having 'happy" in the title is enough, but the tune is so catchy, anytime it is one, I am belting out in my loudest voice!
Justin Timberlake
Much like the song above, when this one comes on, I crank the volume, and regardless of how awful I sing, this one is sung loud and proud, with my toes tapping, and head bopping along.
Fantasy, by Mariah Carey
I am not a huge Mariah the personality fan, but I do love her music, and she can sing. I tend towards her older stuff, and this one just makes me smile, its fun to sing too.
Thank you, by Natalie Merchant
Its too bad that most young people do not know Natalie Merchants brilliance. This song brings me back to a special time in my life, and makes me think of one particular person, who is no longer walking this earth. It's sweet, and the lyrics say everything that I needed to say.
