May is the month that the US celebrates Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. I have always had an affinity for books set in either Japan or China. Memoirs of a Geshia, by Arthur Golden has been a long standing favorite along with Amy Tans, The Bone Setters Daughter and Joy Luck Club. Lisa See's Peony in Love, and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan round out a few backlist books I have enjoyed and loved. So, with that in mind I have put a few books on hold from my local library, shoutout to Williamson County Library in Tennessee for their exceptional job in getting so many books in my hands, and to Goodreads for a great curated list that I grabbed these from https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/2266?ref=aapimonth_sa
